Henry and Alice have been married for over 40 years.  Henry laughs, lovingly and says, "I've been married so long that I feel like I was born married."    Henry was born in Lansdale Pennsylvania, but his family moved to Evansville, Indiana when he was 16 years old.   His father's grandfather was born in Kentucky and had lived in southern Indiana.  Henry is putting together his family tree.  He is researching relatives who served in the Revolutionary War and may have as many as eight in his direct lines.

Besides being involved in a number of art shows and teaching watercolor workshops, Henry enjoys traveling.  Henry is not fond of flying; and he and his wife Alice normally reach their vacation destinations driving back roads.  Henry often takes photographs of the Pennsylvania countryside and uses them as inspiration for his landscapes.  This sets his landscapes apart from those of other Indiana landscape artists.  He, along with Alice, have recently visited Montana, Maine and Arizona.  Photographs taken on these trips will be used in future paintings.
