Betty and her husband, Don, have been married for over 56 years. They are proud to be the parents of 10 children and the grandparents of 25. They enjoy traveling to see their children or having family come to visit. When Betty and Don celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary, the entire family was able to get together. A photograph of the 10 children, taken at that time, holds a place of honor in the Boyle home.

Betty and Don met in New York, at a church dance. Don had recently returned to the United States after serving in the Air Force during WWII. Betty was the leader of a choral group and she says that Don was her best tenor. Don points out that he was her only tenor.

Betty and Don like to travel. They have been to the 48 contiguous states and to many destinations in Europe. When the children were small they used to go camping, first in tents and later in a motor home. Betty remembers that it took a lot of hammocks to sleep all ten children in their motor home.
