Catherine and her husband, Dan, will
celebrate their fortieth wedding anniversary in 2007. They
have two children and five grandchildren. They lived in
Heidelberg, Germany for four years while Dan was stationed there during
the service. While in Germany, Catherine took art history classes and
enjoyed visiting the places that were photographed for text books.
Dan volunteered as a driver for the field trips and was able to see the
castles and cathedrals with Catherine's class.

| Catherine and Dan are both active in a
program with the Boy Scouts to train adults in canoe safety.
Adult leaders
receive instruction in the spring and fall for planning, preparing and
conducting a wilderness canoe adventure. They then take what they
have learned back to their troop.

Although the majority of Catherine's
work is in mixed media, she has created acrylic paintings, pencil drawings,
and etchings as well. Catherine is always willing to try new
techniques and work in whatever media she feels will best suit her
vision for the piece.
