Lynne shows her work at art fairs, but
her creativity not limited to pastels. She also enjoys sculpting
ornaments from salt dough and polymer clay. These include Santa
ornaments, babies, candies, holly, college logo ornaments, and even a lump
of coal for those who end up on Santa's "naughty, rather than nice" list. Lynne also
enjoys writing and composed a poem to attach to each ornament.

After graduation, Lynne worked as a graphic artist
for a full service advertising agency. She was able to design
the advertising and see it through from conception to completion.
Lynne was especially pleased when the finished product looked like her
original drawing.

| Lynne went to school to
become a graphic artist. She worked primarily in colored pencil
and charcoal until an instructor urged her to try something new and to
move out of her comfort zone. Lynne attempted to work with
pastels, but was frustrated with her lack of control. To get used
to pastels, Kathleen O'Connell suggested that Lynne draw a circle and
turn it into a ball, make a triangle into a cone and a square into a
box. That was the only instruction Lynne needed to master the
medium. She then felt confident enough to do a portrait of
happy clowns, followed by a similar portrait of sad clowns.
