Irene says she cannot remember a time
when she didn't have a pencil or crayon in her hand. At a very
early age, she was influenced by the works of Eloise Wilkin, and Carl
Brock. Irene recalls sitting for long periods of time looking at
Eloise Wilkin's illustrations of Hansel and Gretel or the illustrated
Bible filled with the works of Carl Brock. Now, Irene is
illustrating children's books. She says the goal has been for the
commercial art to open doors for her fine (luxury) art pieces.

spare time.
