When asked about her hobbies she
replied, "I'm a Grandmother." The photographs of family and
drawings by her grandchildren scattered about her house attest to this
fact.

When Judy was accepted into John Herron
School of Art, she received the Mary Milliken Scholarship.
Sometime later a friend told her of an elderly lady who needed an
occasional companion and wondered if Judy would be interested in the
position. Judy agreed and the lady turned out to be the
donor of the scholarship she had received. She feels very blessed
to have been able to meet this generous lady and to thank her in person.
Judy was part of the Travel Honors Program with John Herron School of Art. This allowed her to spend six weeks in Italy and three weeks in Ireland. While in Ireland, Judy visited the seashore and was inspired to create this collage of torn paper and watercolor.
