Ron learned to paint representationally
but, after taking some time off, became interested in the manipulation
of space and began to do what he calls abstract, jazzy pieces. Now
Ron works more representationally while still being conscious of the
abstract manipulation of space in his works. "In music, the space
between the notes allows us to experience their relationship, as does
the space between objects in painting."
