Items of Interest about Pamela Newell

Pamela is on the board for the historic preservation of the Ambassador House, a home dating to the late 1820s.  At Pamela's urging, the Hamilton County Master Gardeners have committed to putting in authentic Victorian gardens around the house.  Working with the landscape architect's plans, black and white photographs of the original house and digital photographs of the present house landscape, Pamela was able to paint a picture of how the restored home will look.

Pamela is a gold level Advanced Master Gardener of Hamilton County.  She has done over 1,000 hours of volunteer work to achieve this status.  Her back yard showcases her gardening talent and is a park-like setting.  She planted the many plants and her husband, Bruce laid the stone patio.  Pamela often uses her own gardens as inspiration for her works of art.

Pamela and Bruce took a trip to England where they were able to spend two weeks touring English gardens.  Pamela has done many studies of the garden at St. Michael's Mount and the gardens at Hatfield House, as well as those of Wisley and Hidcote Manor.
