More Items of Interest about Earl Snellenberger

Earl and Bonita are restoring a house on 30 acres outside of Martinsville, Indiana.  The structure used to be a barn and the couples bedroom is in the hay loft.  The doors and windows in their home were rescued from buildings that were being demolished.  Their living room is a log cabin from the 1800s.  It was discovered when another structure was being torn down.  Earl and Bonita were able to purchase the cabin and have it moved to their property.  It was attached sometime later when a family reunion provided the needed manpower.  A Victorian style solarium was added for light and is the acting kitchen until the new kitchen is finished.

Earl does calligraphy and is very interested in ambigrams, calligraphy which is the same right side up or upside down. He has taught workshops on the technique and is working on a book.

Examples of Name Ambigrams

Inspired by art history and a niece's collection of piggy banks, Earl is creating a series of Tattooed Swine of the World.  Each of his pieces highlights a particular pig with some form of tattooing.  The swine may exist as does the tattooing style, but the combination of the two is strictly Earl's.
