Frank served in the African and
Italian theater during WWII, first as a photographer and later as a
staff artist, making contrasts and comparisons of Allied and enemy
aircraft in a pocket reference called "Friend or Foe." A modest
man, Frank wouldn't admit that he saved many Allied lives with this tiny
book.

| After the war, Frank worked as an
advertising designer, an illustrator and was a partner in "Bradford and
Vietor Advertising." After their retirement Frank stayed in
touch with Jim Bradford as they worked together making childproof wooden
toys for children. This was the spin-off of Jim's
involvement with Rotary. They made toys for the Concord Neighborhood Center Toy Workshop for over ten years. Frank and
Jim worked with J. K. Tremps to design and build the toys.

Frank and his wife Jean were the first
in the area to use topographical mapping to hunt for fossils, and have a
collection rivaling most museums. Frank's love of photography and
nature was evident in hundreds of slides of wildlife in natural
surroundings. Many were taken while silently boating along
Indiana waterways, or waiting patiently for a butterfly to open its
wings.
