Jean's artwork is well known. Many
people who recognize Jean's artwork are aware of her prints.
Much of her work is available to the public as signed and numbered
prints. In 1968 Jean joined Frame House Gallery as one of their
"bird artists." She continued with Frame House until their demise
in 1978. This has made her work more accessible to the general
public. The Indiana Bluebird Society placed Jean's Bluebird and
Dogwood prints in the lodges and nature centers of Indiana's State
Parks. One of Jean's cardinals also graced the Indianapolis phone
book a few years ago.

| Jean is very involved in working with
polymer clay. She creates lovely beads and jewelry and is always
experimenting with new techniques and ideas. She has even found a way to
transfer copies of her paintings to the clay. Jean's love of
jewelry making began years ago when she bought glass bead necklaces at
garage sales and used the beads in other projects. She feels her
interest in polymer clay has evolved because she likes intricate things.
She enjoys making miniature versions of what others might see as
everyday items. Her artist's eye sees beauty in many things.

Jean illustrated a book called Got
Shade? A "Take it Easy" Approach for Today's Gardener. Carolyn
Harstad wrote and photographed the book. The pen and ink
pointillism illustrations were tedious and Jean feels that any
illustrations she might do in the future would be better handled as a
water color wash. Jean enjoys gardening and
this was a perfect outlet for her talent. Jean has also done
nature photography.
