Jean's art interest started when she was young.  She showed English saddle horses when she was in high school and she would draw horses and doodle horses in her books.  This love of horses led to her love of art.  Her favorite horse was Willy.  Jean remembers, with a smile, that Willy liked to try to make her fall off.

Headstone displayed with the permission of William & Martha Allis

Jean's works of art include the design of a headstone for William & Martha Allis.  She was very pleased with the workmanship of the carvers and the beauty of the finished piece.  Jean has also painted the inside lid of a harpsichord made by Louis Chenette.  The harpsichord was named Shy Lady, and the painting that Jean did is of a female cardinal with the head slightly turned.  The painting is called Shy Lady as well.
